The council of Villaviciosa is well known for iconic places such as Tazones, El Puntal, Argüero or even Quintes, and I almost consider Gijón 2.0 for many people who love nature but are eager for connections in all directions. Cradle, like Nava, of the natural cider that we love so much, it is not only what we already know, because there is much more if we zoom out a little and look from above.
And this wider image allows us to leave the motorway in the direction of Villaviciosa capital and continue towards quieter, greener areas, and with views of the sea as you may not have imagined yet. And so one day we arrived in Rales, the vegetation opened wide to us, and we discovered one of the villages with the best views of the council, of that we are sure.
As we well know, these villages hide jewels, and the precious gem that we present to you today is an imposing stone terraced house, completely renovated, with a modern air and open concept that makes us feel that we have hit the nail on the head from the first moment.
On an area of 197 m2 we have a small piece of land left over to be able to take out a table and chair and have breakfast receiving the morning sun, since the house receives all the possible sun throughout the day. In front of the house, a small shed where the oil boiler and the 1000 litre tank are located, and where we still have plenty of space for other gardening tools and other belongings (for example, madreñes). The house is only attached on its north side to a neighbour's garage, so the feeling of independence is ideal around the entire property. All the stone has been preserved and cleaned to perfection, and the roof is in perfect condition.
The house has two floors, totalling approximately 140 m2, with two bedrooms on the ground floor, and one on the upper floor. A complete bathroom on each floor, spacious and bright, and a kitchen living room on the ground floor of about 40 m2 with fireplace and equipped, in the absence of any appliances. This living room has a fireplace ideal to heat up even more and give more warmth to the house, which already has large radiators and wooden windows with double glazing, but also the electrical system is completely renovated. The wooden staircase that separates the floors is spacious and does nothing more than provide even more light entering through each of its spaces, which make this house a different concept to what we are used to in these Asturian stone houses. In addition, upstairs there is a very large living room space with a nice built-in wardrobe, ideal for books or a thing that fits well in the hole. The window of this room, as a culmination, allows us to see the sea in all its splendour, which is no small thing. Or to put it another way, paraphrasing, it's a bigger thing.
